I’m Albert — a Software Engineer with experience in Product Management and UX/UI design

albertdorfman@gmail.com

I’m a software engineer with multiple years of experience developing full stack applications.

I’ve worked in Javascript, React, Next.JS, Go, and Kubernetes (among other technologies), and most recently I created Edamame, a distributed load-testing tool that simulates 200K+ virtual users in real time and supports both HTTP and WebSocket connections.

What am I up to now?

I recently launched an open source, distributed load-testing tool called Edamame with 4 remote engineers. I’m currently based in Toronto, and I'm looking for a backend or fullstack engineering role.

What is Edamame

Edamame is a distributed load-testing framework, optimized for real-time collaboration apps (like Slack and Miro).

Edamame’s CLI enables users to spin up an EKS cluster and run distributed load tests

Edamame comes with a CLI and GUI that automate the provisioning of a cloud-based architecture on AWS for distributed load tests. Edamame supports tests of 200k+ virtual users, visualizes 1M+ datapoints in near real-time, and includes a stop button allowing developers to end their tests early.

Edamame’s GUI built in React / Express

After creating Edamame, we authored a technical case study exploring some of the engineering challenges we overcame, and we presented our product during a tech talk for other engineers.
